Video | Yes, Spain's Eurovision entry was terrible too but here it is just in case anyone asks about it on Friday!
Lots on this week in Barcelona…
- Tuesday 13th | Our first trip this week takes us into the bohemian district of Gracia [general information | map]: interesting history, lovely architecture, great bars! We'll also be seeing one of the less well-known Gaudí works, the Casa Viçens (16.00).
- Wednesday 14th | First laid out in 1791, the Laberinto de Horta is one of the most romantic of the hidden corners of Barcelona (as well as being one of the settings for Tom Tykwer's 2006 film Perfume: The Story of a Murderer!). Come along and see it with us (16.00).
- Thursday 15th | Everyone who comes to Barcelona goes to see the Sagrada Familia but the city has a number of other lovely churches. Come with us today to see the Joyas del Gótico, the "Gothic jewels" of Barcelona — the Cathedral and the wonderful churches of Santa María del Pí and Santa María del Mar (16.00).
- Friday 16th | We've a special Eurovision Song Contest edition of our Friday Club language exchange this week. You could always swot up here just in case there's a pub quiz! In the bar/on the terrace, 19.00-21.00.
Also this week The Salón del Cómic (May 15-18) is all you Superman (etc) fans. Fancy dress optional, but expect it to be packed!
Ah, and on Saturday there's also the small matter of the Barça vs Atlético Madrid game, which will decide which of the two wins La Liga (kick-off 18.00).
