Joan Schaeffer brought a party of US teenagers to one of our sister schools IH Tarragona for a week's Spanish course and says "We had a great time — we did everything, and then some!":
"A particular highlight was being caught up in the parade of a troupe of castellers and the fact that the kids who chose to were invited to take part in the pinya (the base of the human tower — eight people high! [It was] very special and definite a highlight for everyone."
In their week, they also got to Montserrat, the monastery at Poblet, and the theme park at Port Aventura. They also came to Barcelona and loved the human statues on the Ramblas, the Picasso Museum, the Casa Batlló and the Park Güell (both Gaudí).
