What's on in Barcelona in the last week of 2014?

The Boqueria: one of Barcelona's most fascinating places

Christmas isn't over yet, at least not here in Spain, as you'll discover if you come with us on the social programme, this week…

  • Monday 29th | Everyone who comes to Barcelona goes to see the Sagrada Familia but the city has a number of other lovely churches. Come with us today to see the Joyas del Gótico, the "Gothic jewels" of Barcelona — the Cathedral and the wonderful churches of Santa María del Pí and Santa María del Mar (16.00).
  • Tuesday 30th | The lovely Santa Llúcia fair finished on Christmas Eve but with it being Los Reyes, not Father Christmas, who traditionally bring the presents here in Spain (and not until January 6th!), we still have a Feria de Reyes. Come along with us and see (16.00).
  • Wednesday 31st | Come along this afternoon and visit the amazing Boqueira Market [ video above | website | Wikipedia ] where, apart from anything else, you'll see what you'd need to cook what we traditionally eat at Christmas time here in Catalonia. NOTE that we're meeting at 14.00 — not 16.00 — today!
  • Thursday 1st | National holiday (no class!)

Join us at the front door (the main entrance down on B floor) at the times given above.

Note that, although there is class on Friday 2nd, there's no Friday Club this week — but we'll be back, next week, on the 9th!
