Not only vandalism

A lot of the graffiti that plagues the Old Quarter of Barcelona is rightly scrubbed out by teams of municipal workers that scuttle round the district in little electric vans, conscientiously mixing paint to match the original color of the wall.

They seem to have given up entirely trying to keep clean either the metal shutters on shop fronts or on doors. Occasionally, however, as I did this morning (photo, above), you do come across things which rise above vandalism…
