Come with us Thursday to visit the Sagrada Familia

If you came with us on our social programme last week, you'd have come for a walk with us down the Via Laietana, which was ploughed through the old city just over 100 years ago. This week — Tuesday and Wednesday — we going exploring on either side of Laietana. Come along, and don't miss Thursday's trip, either!

  • Tuesday 29th | Join us today on our walk round the Barrio Gótico, the old part of the city of Barcelona. You could and will go on your own — but come with us and you'll discover some of the wonderful things to be found there (16.00).
  • Wednesday 30th | Our walk this afternoon takes us on to the other side of Via Laietana and round the barrios of La Ribera and El Born, full of cool bars and history, home to the lovely church of Santa Maria del Mar and the Estación de Francia, as well as the fascinating remains of the medieval city of Barcelona in the old Born Market (16.00).
  • Thursday 31st | One you just must see: the best known Gaudí building in Barcelona, the still unfinished Sagrada Familia, though it's supposed to be finished in 2026 (see this video if you can't wait that long!). See also some of the cool pictures to be found on the official Sagrada Familia Instagram feed. It's definitely not something to be missed so why not come with us today? You could just look round the outside (amazing) with us but come inside, too (really amazing!). If you do want to go inside, note that entrance is €15 and you need to book a place by 16.00 on Tuesday (16.00).
  • Friday 1st | You've got to start your Barcelona weekend somewhere. Why not start it with us at our Friday Club language exchange, where you can practise all the languages you know? In the bar/on the terrace, 19.00-21.00.

Join us in Spanish Reception (C floor), unless otherwise stated, at the times given above.

Also this week | Two home games for Barça this week: in the Quarter Finals of the Copa, it's Barça vs Sevilla (Wednesday, kick-off 21.00), which could be interesting as Barça are 0-2 down after the first leg; and then in the League, there's Barça vs Valencia (Saturday, kick-off 18.30).
